AI Cafe Design: See Your Coffee Shop Before You Build It
Upload a photo of your space, a sketch or a 3D model view and describe the café you have in mind. ArchiVinci renders it as a realistic image you can show, discuss and change.

Start Your Café Design from a Photo
Photograph the empty unit, describe the counter and the seating, and compare café designs before you call a contractor.
AI Coffee Shop Design from a Photo, Sketch or Model
A café is decided by a handful of visual choices: the counter, the seating mix, the light, the materials and the storefront. ArchiVinci lets you see those choices on your own space before anything is built or bought. It works for owners planning a first coffee shop, for designers presenting options to a client and for brand teams fitting a concept into a new site.
From a photo of an empty or existing space: describe the café you want; the Interior module is asked to keep your walls, windows and viewpoint. The AI interior design page explains the module in detail.
From a drawing or a model: a hand sketch or a SketchUp or Revit screenshot turns into a realistic café render; sketch to render and 3D model to render show both inputs.
For the storefront: upload a photo of the façade to the Exterior module and test signage, an awning, glazing and a terrace. See AI exterior design.
For one change only: keep a result and change just the counter front, the floor or the lights by marking that area in the Edit module, as shown on the image editor page.
A new account gets 3 free credits. That is enough to try one space three different ways.
How to Design a Café with AI
Photograph the unit from the door or a corner, or export a view of your model, and upload that one image to the Interior module (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB).
Write the café into the Prompt field: what it serves, the counter, the seating and three or four materials. Nothing is picked from a style list: your words set the look.
Add object tags cover the basics (Seating, Plants, People, Lamps); a pastry display, menu boards or the espresso machine are named in the prompt.
Choose a lighting option: Warm light for an evening coffee bar, Daylight for a bright breakfast café, Golden hour for a corner by the window.
Generate. On a plan, set Number of images to 4 and compare four counters at once; free accounts get one image per run.
Keep the version you like and refine it: Edit render under the result lets you mark an area, such as the counter, and change only that.
Three Café Prompts to Copy
Each names the café type, the counter, a few materials and the light, and can be pasted as it is:
A specialty coffee shop with a long oak counter, a white tiled back wall, black metal pendant lights and window bar seating
A cozy neighborhood café with green velvet banquettes, round marble tables, a terrazzo floor and warm evening light
A bright bakery café with a glass pastry display, pale wood shelving, bistro chairs and large windows
Run the same prompt twice and you get two different cafés: each run draws a new image from your upload.

Cafe Interior Rendering from a Sketch or 3D Model
Designers and fit-out teams often start from a SketchUp, Revit or Rhino view rather than a photo. Export the view as an image, upload it and describe the finishes: you get a cafe interior rendering with materials, light and people, and the default engine is asked to keep the camera angle of your view. It is quick enough to render every option you discuss with the owner, not only the final one.
For a cafe rendering that goes into a pitch or onto a printed board, keep the version you like and, with a plan, upscale it to up to 4096 px on the long side.
Cafe Design Ideas to Test Before You Build
Counter and Queue
The counter is the stage of a café. Try it straight or L-shaped, in wood, tile or concrete, with the espresso machine facing the guests or the wall. Seeing the space in front of it also tells you whether the queue will block the entrance.
A café with an L-shaped concrete counter, a fluted wood front, the espresso machine facing the guests and room for a queue by the door
Seating Mix
Most cafés mix seat types: stools at the window, two-seat tables, a banquette along a wall and one communal table. Write the mix into the prompt and compare versions to see how full or open the room feels.
Light and Atmosphere
Light changes a café more than any material does. Run the same space once with Daylight and once with Warm light, or describe pendants over the counter and wall lights over the banquettes.
Materials and Brand Colors
Test the brand palette on real surfaces: the counter front, a tiled wall, the ceiling, the upholstery. Have a tile or wood sample from a supplier? Photograph it, mark the surface on a result with Edit render and apply your photo as the texture.
Coffee Shop, Bakery, Lobby and Street Café Prompts
One starting prompt for each café type in the cards above; swap in your own materials and brand colors.
Coffee shops: compact, fast service, a strong counter.
A small specialty coffee shop with a white marble counter, open shelving with coffee bags, two window stools and soft daylight
Bakery cafés: the display case leads the room.
A bakery café with a long glass pastry case, warm wood panelling, a blackboard menu and cream bistro chairs
Hotel and lobby cafés: part of a larger space, calmer and more upholstered.
A hotel lobby café with velvet armchairs, low brass tables, a stone bar counter and tall plants under warm light
Street cafés: the storefront and the terrace sell the place. Use this prompt in the Exterior module with a photo of the façade.
A street café façade with a striped awning, folding glass doors, small round tables on the sidewalk and string lights
Where AI Stops: Layout, Equipment and Permits
ArchiVinci shows how the café could look on your own space; the result is a picture, not a project.
It does not draw a measured floor plan, count seats or check the space against health, fire or accessibility rules. Use the images to brief your designer, contractor or landlord.
No furniture list or price comes with a result: the chairs and lamps follow your description, not a catalog.
Every result is a newly generated image, so a socket or a radiator may move; compare it with your photo before you share it.
An investor deck or your website counts as commercial use, which needs an active plan.

AI cafe design: questions and answers
Can AI design my café from a photo of the empty space?
Yes. Upload the photo to the Interior module and describe the café: counter, seating, materials and light. The default engine is asked to keep your walls, windows and camera angle, and adds the café you described. For a completely empty unit, the Furnish module is made for exactly that: it furnishes the room you show it.
Can I keep my existing counter and change only the finishes?
Yes. Generate once, press Edit render under the result, mark the counter and describe the new finish, or apply a material from the texture library or from your own sample photo. The request asks the AI to leave everything outside the marked area as it is.
Can I design a small coffee shop or a kiosk?
Yes. A small counter in a corner works like any café interior in the Interior module. A freestanding kiosk or a coffee cart is an outdoor view: upload a photo of the spot or a model view to the Exterior module and describe it.
Does ArchiVinci make a floor plan or a seating layout for my café?
No. You get images of the café, not a plan: nothing is measured and no seats are counted. A plan you already have can become a colored presentation plan with the floor plan coloring tool.
How long should a café prompt be?
Short and specific works best: the café type, the counter, three or four materials and the light. The app warns when a prompt goes over 200 characters, because a long prompt is followed less reliably.
